Very soon i plan on building a 1/8 scale dirt oval late model from old parts and i need a few ideas before i start. It isn't going to be competitively raced so it doesn't have to perform great. I was planning on using two stampede transmisions and mounting them on a custom chassis so i can use my old e-maxx motors. So mainly I just wanted something that looks like the real thing and maybe race against my 1/10 scale losi slider in the back yard. Anything is better than noting. :)

Find an Ofna GTP roller and convert that. You will be better off.

Some guys are using 1/10 scale trucks, most of them are nitro though.

There are also electric conversions for the 1/8 scale buggies.
