View Full Version : newbie needing help please r/c mind of its own

Hi People
Sorry if i,m in the wrong area but i,m a newbie to all this .I just purchased a valiant r/c monster truck for my son for Xmas .I Have a problem and at wits end any help would be grateful .I have installed all batteries but when i switch the truck on at the receiver the wheels turn from left to right and the throttle opens and closes .When i turn the radio transmitter on i cant control any thing all lights say batteries are full . Its a 2 channel if that helps as i said i dont know much about nitro power cars . Please help .

It sounds like either the reciever is no good or mitch matched crystals ckeck everything before starting that bad boy,its a little hard to explain without seeing it.hope it helps.

First thing is you should never turn the receiver on first and then the radio always turn the radio on first. if the truck does the same thing then check the crystals in the radio and receiver they need to be the same number and also check that the tx is in the radio and the rx is in the receiver. If all matches then you will need the have the receiver checked.

Thanks for the reply i have now took that r/c back got my money back and spent it on a better r/c from a reputable r/c dealer who gives plenty of after care service .I am now a proud owner of the ansmann viper .So far so good not one problem .After reading so many problems with the valiant and finding out its a clone i thought i would stick to a known brand . once again guys thank u for all your help .
