Thanks for posting the awesome picture, hojoe. It's great to see somebody is giving one of these beauties the care it deserves.

The seller says it may have been a cigarbox body. MEV's site has no purple willys listed for Tjet.. looking closely at the post break it almost looks like maybe a painted (or dyed??)white body, but my eyes aren't what they used to be... No back bumper either.. Hmmmm
FYI
Aurora did NOT make a purple Willy's slot car. ALL are push cars of one sort or another (cigar box, speeedline, fast, faster fastest) etc. They also molded in the push bar, license plate frame and tail lights dependent upon which of the previously mentioned versions you purchased.
Hope this helps

The ad does mention that the source of the body is a "Cigar Box" or other type of gravity driven vehicle.

For what it"s worth I hae a purple willys that I bought originally at a store called 2 Guys back in the late 60s early 70s. It was an extra body that came with ayellow purple wild ones blister pack. Very plain no details painted.I can't show a picture because I painted it . But I still have it.
