[Santa Maria - CA] The South-West Tour R/C Oval Series will kick off our 8th continuous season of CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS SERIES racing on Saturday February 21st at the ENCINO VELODROME in Beautiful SUNNY California.
For the 3rd continuous season, the "TOUR" will be using NOVAK Brushless Motors 'Exclusively' along with the exclusive use of Team Orions SPEC Lipo batteries.
The racing during our '08 season proved to be some of the closest, most intense racing action ever seen on the tracks of the "Tour" circuit. This included the SuperSpeedway "Encino Velodrome" as well as the Short CARPET track at the McDermont Field House in Lindsay CA.
ALL Classes in '09 will use the Team Orion 3400 mAh LIPO (Older Team Orion 3200 edition lipos will still be able to be used also)
Class motors will continue to be the 21.5 and 17.5 Brushless motors.
A Challenge to the racers coming into race ONE on the VELO will be a $50.00 Challenge if any driver can set the TQ in the 21.5 class using the NEW "McAllister" HiSpeed VELO Body. In addition, if that same car can WIN the "A" Main, there will be an additional $50.00 added to the Challenge BONUS.
I'm looking forward to an EXCITING 2009 racing season, and I hope to be able to provide a few new exciting challenges through the year!
