Last friday I stopped at a TRU. Nothing new. One of the other TRU in town got 2-packs in this week. This TRU had only one box hanging. An employee walked by and I nicely asked him to scan the 2-pack tag and see if any more are in the back. He scans it and said there was a case in the back and he would get it. This nice charger was in it. Does this mean I had inside help?

That's a good employee. The ones around here usually say " I can't speak English" (in an accent) ignore you, or just say no.

sounds like a shakedown on the employee to me! did you threaten to jab him in the ear! TRU people are super nice Most of the time. Ususally I can call and they will look for me. Saves me the time and gas. nice charger BTW!

Nice story, glad there was a greenie in there for you. It doesn't happen very often when they say "yes there there are more I'll go get them".

Thats how collectors use to do it, until all the scalpers ruined that part of the hobby. I remember service merchandise, being able to walk in and do that with the JL Muscle cars and dragsters. Almost 15 years ago now..times have changed. Use to be fun to go out hunting for cars. Now its a joke.

Cool find. The employee was really nice to scan the code & go bring out a case. Here they would be like ok we have a case let us raid it first & then bring out the remains.
