Seen the one that looks like a over grown A-100 cab (L600 & L700) but not this one. Maybe it was MB's interpretation of that? Don't know, but would like to see a 1to1 pic if anyone has one.

Yeah Bill, I've seen those A-100 cabs on the heavy chassis too. Cool, ain't they?!?!
And ya know I looked on the Dodge truck web site and there was other COE's, but nothing resembling the MB version.
Maybe it never saw production or it was only in other countries.
I think the Lesney #4 Dodge Stake Truck has this same cab.
Any overseas members have answers?????????

I did a quick Google search ("crane truck") and couldn't find any 1:1 photos, but there was another toy at a much larger scale of the same design (minus the Dodge designation). So I would guess the real thing must have existed at one point, although maybe it never reached production, as Lummox suggests.

I have not seen either but it looks like the L series cab to me.

Here's a pic of the L series cab (very similar to the A-100 light duty trucks)
It appears quite different than the Matchbox version.

The A-100 light doody trucks are the same as the medium and heavy duty ones with a few different minor details.
