one of the few minor variations on the trailer. one that stands out is spacing of the side supports on the side of the trailer. thin and wide above the tow hook.

this is on the trailers that have different size inside braces, not the thick and thin variation but the variation on the wider inside brace of which i recall three sizes.

different size circles with the no. 2 on the rotating tow bar.

this one always reminded of the “move them one to the right” saying.

Wow, I consider myself someone who has a good eye for detail, but it took me several looks to see what you're talking about...especially on the bottom pic.
Love the Benz lorry & trailer!

Welcome back Mountain:wave: It is amazing that a year has passed since the Pettyrules Christmas roast and nearly a year since Junkman (R.I.P.)passed away.
Excellent photos showing the small differences between the left and right sides of the tool that cast twin trailers
This is the leading contender for least discussed Lesney casting of all time, along with the green farm trailer that went behind the green tractor.
My favourite feature of this trailer has to be the extra hook so that roadtrains can be assembled. But I only have 1rw,1 gold sf and 1 red two pack example.

thanks:)
this one doesn’t get much attention, luckily the two packs kept it alive for a few more years.
when the differences are enough to see fairly easy i like to make a note of the variation, might be better to highlight the concerned area.

how is this for being a little obsessive with differences. the door handles on the rw#54 ambulance and the steering wheel support under the dash.

the neglected #51 trailer with a little variation. curved and angled braces just under the cross support.

a year since the passing of junkman. always a tough time around the holidays.

Few collectors would see past the black v grey wheels on the 51 trailer, the 40 trailer was different, not really an improvement, makes me think Lesney replaced some castings very prematurely. Like the 12 Land Rover safari and 3 Bedford tipper.....its very odd that lesney deleted some models while the 1:1 remained in production....surely premature......
Christmas is the best time to honour the memory of the dead, I am closest to my father and grandmother on Christmas day as I take time to handle some memorable gifts from childhood Christmases......this festival is magic for kids, and for us overgrown kids aside from the feasting the memories of Christmases past almost come alive when I handle certain cars and books that i treasure.
Perhaps in honour of Junkman in 5 weeks time, we can make a tribute thread showing only hand brush repainted Lesneys.....

Perhaps the most difficult to find normal issue of the 2 trailer is the first issue 2 pack in the extra dark shade of olive drab

those olive drabs were somewhat difficult to find along with the blue pair.

His PB account is simply his first and last name, without spacing. But, you'd need a PW to access inside.

Yes... You said it, not I. Cannot add to the other thread to which is referred, because it was so vile, it was removed! Poor Anthony. He does not post here anymore, either.

There are plenty of warm friendly good natured folks on other toy forums with so much to share that just enjoying their huge volume of informative posts & gorgeous photos could,if he doesnt bore easily, keep Mark C busy all evening every evening.......

Hobby Talk is still THE ONLY sizeable toy forum where collectors are free to discuss toys in good humour without censorship, and everybody who makes sensible good natured posts is warmly received, as is easy to see from the increasingly multi-national membership here these days.

Toy forums are no longer a new fad for many established collectors and its interesting to see how they mature as communities, in some cases like Hobby Talk becoming an enjoyable accessory that personally enhances my focus on enjoying my toys. And as a bonus, enables me to cut-out evilbay much of the time when I need to pass on toys that have been upgraded........

The only Jaded collectors on Hobby Talk are those who collect the Hotwheels Jaded casting
