Hey everyone.I've been slowly purchasing some scenery/buildings for my track layout.Recently i won an ebay auction for an AFX bleacher set with sound.Now i need to purchase some sitting people to "fill" the grandstand.Does anyone know approximately how many people will be required to fit in these grandstands.Also how does the sound work.I see it has two plug slots on the rear of the unit.I do not have these grandstands yet-they are being shipped.Any help would be appreciated.:thumbsup:

The sound doesnt really sound like a car ,,actually not even close.kinda sounds like the interference you get on your t.v from the cars only amplified.cool novelty though. i think i have the directions for them.i'll see if i can dig them up and post them.or e-mail em to ya.I dont know what the stands are worth but i have 2 of them im not going to use and would be willing to sell them but i dont know what they are worth.or i may be interested in some tradin.

I have been following that thread.I really dont want to have to purchase the mini people from as far away as China or Japan.I looked at Tower Hobbies in there train section and wow are these mini people expensive.Your talking any where from $8-$12 for a group of six painted people.Im lookin' at about $50 to fill the AFX grandstand with 20-30 people.Again im not sure how many people will fill the AFX grandstand but i want it to be a full house, sold out event!:p

Just buy the standing figures for the bleachers. You ever see people sitting down at a race??? Just my thoughts...RM

I have. They're usually surrounded by numerous empty containers that formerly held alcoholic beverages.

And it's reappearing in the form of drool.

I haven't come across any little figures doing this though. :(

It take alot. I have found 25 people unpainted for about $8.00. So what if you have to paint them. Any good train hobby shop should have them or order them through Walters. By painting them you can make them fans of any driver.I have added some photos. These are the same grandstands that you purchased.

I remember the sound were terrible from them. A decent gimmick but you'll pull the plug quickly.
I still have a couple that I removed the guts from on my layout. I did find a couple of crowd cheering boxes that were on a Nabisco cookie display a couple of years ago.

They are triggered by movement from a small tube, here is a pic.
