anyone seen arms like these???? I have 2 that seem to have been epoxied

I have one or two. It looks like heat shrink to me.

I think your right it does look a little like shrink tape, wonder why its on them

I have not tryed them yet but I think they will work very good. Im trying a couple different plastics to see which is more durable, the ones in the pic where made from a peice of 1"x1" corner plastic from lowes an tyco flag poles you put the stickers on. I have some styrene 90 degree angles that im gonna try as well, but I think it will be to brittle

These look to be after-market motors made by Mabuchi. The heat shrink wrap was a cheap substitute for epoxy, to keep the windings in place. They also made a nice balanced arm that was epoxied. Both units were sold through AJ's/TwinnK and Auto World (the original one). I have a handful of both and they are nice performers.
