OK, Take 1 Dash clear hotrod body, some AFX rears and RRR fronts. Slotrod65.com Hop Up repro decals, and a plastic skeleton figure head: Result, The Phantom Dragster. The idea is part Bobby Fuller with a dollop of Scooby Doo. I painted the Phantom's track suit blue with red gloves for that real vintage Scooby Doo look.
Here is a sample of the original Bobby Fuller song: click on the link, and scroll down to the song samples: click on Phantom Dragster and turn up your speakers!

The song is also featured, along with other newly done Hot Rod songs on the Neanderthal's Album: Shutdown 2000 BC. This is some great slot car racing music!

I don't get it.... I clicked on the second link above and suddenly felt an overwhelming desire to eat cheese curds and drink Milwaukee's Best... Very strange, indeed.....
Nice "phantom" hotrod!!! Now all you need is a Mystery Machine to chase it around!!:thumbsup:

Thanks guys. Does anyone make resin 60's minivan suitable for the mystery machine. Based on various original Scooby episodes, the motor is in the back, and that makes it Chevy Corvair Corvan!

Well Phred, the closest body I've found so far is the Mini Lindy Chevy Van. It's not exactly what the Mystery Inc. gang motored around in, but with a lil bit if tinkering, it's close. Check out the LED 101 thread for more pictures of this and my other Lindy van creation... And they look cool lighted!!
