Running 4 cell 17.5
Guys at track have tried single cell lipo and not quite up to speed as 4-ceel.
Not looking for speed advantage just the ease of lipo and its benefits.
Anyone try any other experiments.

X Man,
I believe the single cell Tony/PRS and a few others are doing is SINGLE CELL w/ 13.5 motors to achieve the 4 cell / 17.5 speeds.
I'm sure one of them will chime in.

yes that is what they used but not quite up to speed and outrageous roll out.

A worse rollout than 4 cell 17.5?
I run 4 cell / 17.5 in my VTA Touring Car
Currently it's got a 48 pitch 66tooth Spur with a 44t Pinion. (I'll be dropping to a 60 tooth SPUR for the next race) This is in a TC3.
We run 21.5/LIPO on the velodromes with TALL Capped Tires, and run 76p / with between a 61 and 65 t pinion. We'll be getting a complete set of the new PRS and ROBINSON Spurs soon (72-75t spurs) 64 pitch.

...keep working on it. You will not find any 2s Lipo class comparable to stock. 1 cell Lipo/13.5 should be as fast or faster. How big is your track?

hi our track record for 17.5 4-cell is 77 laps most of us are around 74-75 laps.
Pete Danagolo runs 86 laps for 21.5 lipo

77 laps is allot of laps so slowing down a few laps should not be that big of a difference. From what I heard the punch may not be as good but top ens is good with single cell Lipo. So maybe your track is to small and the lack of punch maybe the difference.
Single cell Lipo needs to be it's own class that way cars can run lighter.
