The Lancia is one of my favourite racing cars, looking wonderful in the Martini livery. However, it has to be said, the Porsche 956s usually had its measure - if not for all out speed, then certainly on reliability.
For their return to Le Mans in 1983, Lancia entered three LC2s - they were powered by a turbocharged Ferrari V8 displacing 2.6 litres. None of the three cars finished. The #6, driven by Alessandro Nannini, Jean-Claude Andruet & Paolo Barilla, retired after 135 laps with turbo failiure. The model is by Spark.
