Anyone know if the checkpoint motor case will hold brushless motors? Curious as looking for something to house my motors. Thanks

I use an old GM motor box for my brushless stuff, the brushless ones fit right into the foam cutout no problem. The bl motors are the same size as brushed motors, they just look bigger because the brushed motor endbells where stepped down in there OD making then look smaller.

I picked up a small plastic "Air Soft Gun" case at my LHS. It's about 9" x 12" and about 2 1/2 inches tall, with FOAM on both the upper and lower 1/2's.

I cut rectangles into the foam on the bottom, and it fits 8 B/L motors nicely. I actually have 12 motors crammed into mine (But the extra 4 I didn't cut out spots for)

(Before someone says "I thought w/ BRUSHLESS you were only going to need 1 motor", I have motors for both myself and my son. We race something different, and someplace different almost every weekend, plus we have a couple of just BASHER cars that we play with on the rare NON race weekend. There's 21.5 motors, 17.5's, 10.5's, 5.5's even a LRP Neo1, PLUS at least 6 of our cars currently have motors in them)

So in your "battery case" you have an 2x Orion 3200, 2x Orion 3400, 1x Orion 4800, 4x SMC 5000, 1x TP 5000, 4x SMC 3200, and 1x SMC 1s 4000.

All because you run someplace different every week.

Actually Mr. Moffree,

In my Battery Case right now there are (2) Orion 3200's, and (2) Orion 2400's
In Cars raced on Saturday, there are (3) more Orion 3200's which have not been removed for storage yet.
I have (2) Brand New Orion 3400's still in the box, for NEXT season.

9 cars have motors in them currently.

17.5 NOVAK in the VTA car
17.5 NOVAK in (3) Nastruck Chassis cars (2 short track, One Velo)
17.5 NOVAK in (1) Velo Oval Car
21.5 NOVAK in (1) Velo Oval Car
21.5 NOVAK in (3) Short Track Oval Cars

you can't beat the new corally lipo/brushless motor case! holds 4 or 5 lipo packs and 4 or 5 brushless motors!

I just picked up one of the checkpoint's today. I went back to check and tower had them down to 9.99 from 24.99 so for ten bucks it's worth a shot. You can't buy one of those aluminum cases for that, if it doesn't work for the motors, i'm sure i'll find something to use it for.

I think Checkpoint has a different foam insert to handle the brushless and 3 motors . I will go to the site and try to paste here SRM

Team Scream Racing has blue plastic boxes for 4 or 6 cell batteries and a motor case also. I have the 4 cell case and motor case and BL motors fit just fine as do the batteries. 18.00 each I think.
