Coopers R/C is the place for Dirt Oval- they had two sprint cars on Saturday, should be more as the season progresses.

Cooper's is the only DO track in Virginia. Othewise you go up into central PA around Harrisburg, lots of sprint cars up there. Bumps & Jumps for indoor in the winter and 4 or 5 tracks during the summer. Just depends on how far you're willing to drive.

Thanks Signman, yeah travel is a consideration.

Yeah we love Cooper's, it's nice place run by really nice people. Unfortunately it's about 4 hours from me and the central PA tracks are about 1 to 2 hours from home so I tend to travel north.

Does Coopers run off road or dirt oval and what classes do they run there.

t4mania,
Cooper's is an indoor dirt oval. They run 1/10 19 turn late model, sprint cars, and stock cars. Right now the biggest class is the 1/18 scale late models. Your best bet for specific information on classes and the facility would be to email Norris and Pat (they own the facility) at nlcooper@earlink.net.

T4mania,
I sent you an email. A group of us from NC run 1/18th once a month. I can send you a schedule of dates if your interested. The next race that we will attend will be January 17th.
Anyone else who is interested post here, email, or PM me.
Thanks,

Hey t4, come on out to cooper's you want be dissappointed. Like aeracer says it is top notch. We had three sprints last week and will be at least four or more this week,1/10 late model will always be at least four and as many as 8 on most nights, also have edms,sprints,trucks,1/18 and 1/10 late models.l.m.19 turn or 10.5 brushless
edm 13.5
sprint 13.5 or 27 turned brushed
trucks 17.5 or 27 turn brushed
new class-super stock-2wd.,17.5 motors, can only run green compound tires, and asa iroc camaro body with no side air dam and no add on rear spoiler. We have only had two of those so far but are expecting more after christmas. They look fun to drive but with no down force very much a handful. That class will be up to mostly set-up. Come on out and join us. This will be the last week until I think the first of january.

Thanks for the invite Reid. I have a TC3 touring car that I run on dirt. What motor is being used on these. It has a LM body. Also getting a CW sprint car. Which motor is allowed in that.

As of now there is no 4wd. class except in the 1/18. the 2wd l.m. run either 19 turn brushed or 10.5 brushless, which i think all the brushed guys have gone too. the sprint cars run 13.5 brushless. Thatt class is usually has at least 4 or 5. Me and my partner just put another one together sio that on may be for rent. Hope this helps.
