The very BEST live coverage I have ever seen of a race is the one going on now a dirtdivision.com! It's Tony Stewarts Dirt Open Wheel race.

You have to register on the site and they go to the live deal. Oce you get it going, left click on the screen and go to full screen WOW

VERY COOL!

They sure take alot of warm up laps to be electrics.

I know, Gary said that batteries are just not "that" important and that it's more important to get the tires seated in.

But getting back to the coverage; that had to be expensive but was by far the best I have ever seen for RC racing. I'm looking forward to more of it today. Maybe I can pick up some tips for running my little mess.

One thing for sure; a "Pace Car" is in our future. I'll be off the Radio Shack after they open up to pick up some lights..........what I really need is a broken toy fire truck!

Side Note: I swear that tracks looks smooth enough for Pan Cars! HInt, Hint!

Scott, I have already started building my Pace Car errrr Truck! Think I will use the truck like they did, that way I don't have to fool with any wing and it will look different from the cars.

I think that will be GREAT!!! Use a 21.5 LiPo and no need to worry about a thing. heck I would put the biggest cap battery I could fit in it.

Don't think I will need any more battery than the 3200 LiPo's that I have, heck they will only run like 5 or 6 laps at a time. 21.5/3200 Lipo and I'll be set to race it or Pace Car it LOL.

Yep!! I am considering getting one of the McPappy cars for 21.5 LiPo, those are sweet looking cars!

Other than looking a little "delicate", they appear well thought out. I just can't figure out where to mount the nitro engine or gas tank!

I have a car for Nitro. It does not appear any more delicate than the "swiss cheesed" as everyone else has. That seems to be all the rage once again, make 'em flex.

I was talking with Larry about that very thing. Someone may be wise to go back to fiberglass chassis since everyone seems to want the flexie flyers.

That just might happen Gary LOL

Lin you might want to reconsider this Pace-Truck deal. It is only going to give the Phenom one more thing to hit on the track!! :D:D:D

Guys I can tell you after fondling one of thos eorange cars yesterday, the front end has very little flex compared to my gen - 2. The graphite is very strong and rigid, it's a nice ride.

Cliff, That's good information. I'm not in the market but I know of some that are. However, if I were, I think that I may consider that car. Like I said, it looks well thought out.
....................

Scott, Lucky for me, "he" will not be running too many of our races (I think he's afraid of getting whopped so much.) So it will actually be YOU that has the broblem if you decide to build one!

Seriously; 90% of what we do to attract new racers is the "show" and that's no difference than any other new or different class. This deal kills two birds with one stone; it makes for MUCH better starts and it increases the "bling" factor.

This may cause a wave or two but neither one of our classes can start a race worth a flip! Even with the dirt guys yesterday couldn't start a race good without the pace car. There were two occations that I saw where there was a false start and the pace car had pulled off. They had to form up and only make two laps to restart it...........it looked really messed up compaired to the pace car starts.

I have an extra radio and gear, so I'm going to build a dedicated unit for the job.
