Or how about 17.5 and what batt do you sugest i would like to keep it lipo but may need to go back to 4 cell to keep it slow enough for new guys to enter.

IMO keeping the traditional 4cell would be better because of the cost. not everyone has or will get BL stuff or lipo equipment. Its a tough one, but in your case starting off with a clean slate could work but hope it doesnt scare of the newbies.

Unless you go with the single cell lipo, i dont know much about them.

ken your V2 chassis will fit an orion 2400 quite nicely. If you offset the servo to the right the corner of the batter sits right up next to the servo mount and the 4 holes for the associated batter cups make a great place to put 4 pieces of delrin rod to hold the batter. Machine the delrin so the batter fits snug then run a hold down from one post to another and you've got it. The body may have to be trimmed slightly to clear the batter but it looks pretty good so far. We are shooting for next weekend to try them...21.5 with the orion 2400 lipo. Wish us luck.

awesome good to know.... the dual was based off the V2 so that doesnt surprise me, even with the Dual you will have to offset the servo to the right, but the dual comes with servo slots!!!!
Good luck nick, let us know,, he thanks for chosing KSKT!! did you get your plates? I think you ordered 2 right?

Yes what he said , but if guys run personal transponder they will need receiver pack. depends on track size will make the decicion on 1 or 2 cell lipo. We are running 13.5 with the 1 cell and it works great so far about a 1 lap difference to 17.5 4 cell(lipo is slowerwith a fast lap of 3.03 lipo compared to fast lap of 2.96 4 cell). but either with 21.5 or 17.5 it would be a great beginner class.

the kskt 21.5 2400 lipo pavement rocket should make its first laps saturday provided the mail man delivers a body on time. Looking forward to making some laps with the new car. Incase anyone else has thought about running these outside we have decided to use BSR spec radials using two wide rears on the back instead of the traditional one wide and one narrow rear basically for the look. Hopefully they come back in one piece. The current 21.5 2400 nascar class runs in the 6.2-6.4 second range so it should be interesting.

Jake I do beleive Marshalls in PA is running 17.5 with a spec pack. With the solid chassis, spec packs, tires and 17.5 would be a great class, wish we could have it.

Last summer I slipped a 21.5 novak in an xcaliber and ran it with all the same spec equip we normally use, the car ran .2 tenths slower but very consistant, no real changes needed, A couple of racers complained and I went back to the spec motor we normally run(closed endbell duratrax/traxxes) mtrs, this was just to see where we were and with the knowledge and ok of the track owners. we will end up all brushless soon I guess I got too far ahead of the pack. :dude:

We have been running the Sk class with spec 21 turn and the 1600 spec battery and the class is vary competitive , It makes the racer work on the car rather then buy the battery of week or motor of week. We also have been running a pancar class with the spec battery and the 17.5 brushless . Both classes have the same lap record in 5 minutes , just the brushless has a little bit slower fast lap but is more consistentin the 5 minute run. I beleive as time goes on that the 1 cell lipo will be the ticket for spec racing on the smaller tracks , we have been testing them a little at our track and so far so good.
