Hey folks I have one of these little late mods on it's way to me. I was wondering if anyone could pass along some info on steering and camber tie rods like what is used on the 1/10 cars for easy adjustments IE: alignement and camber changes.

I have seen titanium rods for the mini slider and was wondering if they would fit the late mod ??

make sure it's legal to change them some tracks run them as strictly stock not a lot of changes.

This I know bur right now the tracks I'll be running it at are still kinda new to them. It kinda looks like the LM racers might have to do the Bill France SR routine and figure things out.

The Slider and LM are the same arms, castor blocks, etc. Same tie-rods, etc.

The Losi titanium rods are fine, but they still require the losi ball-ends. That's a big piece of the front end slop problem. You can get ti-rods with ball ends and new balls on line out of Hong Kong, and they really help. The other problem with the front end is the plastic is very soft, so develops slop real quick.

Look at the drag-link between the bell cranks. The holes in it oval-out very quickly. We developed a replacement out of 1/8th aluminum, that helps a lot. we made 3 initially, used one in each of our two cars and offered the other to anyone who wanted it. There is also a carbon fiber one with brass grommets on it you can get on e-bay.

I've found that if you are open about the problem, and everyone is willing to allow it, rules evolve to meet what is needed for the class.

And once you get off the main chassis, most of the parts from the slider fit the LM

Now for a new question. When changing the shocks from losi to another brand like the associated 18T shocks. Has anyone found a way to use ball stands and ball cups or maybe a du bro captured ball ?? I figure with some careful drilling on the rear it should be easy but what about the fronts with out weakening the A arm ??
