Honestly, I didn't see that coming....

Still, doesn't really change my opinion of him.

I watched it twice now and realized something on the second viewing. We finally get the name of the Ringship - it's the Zephyr. Yeah, I'm a geek. :D

Well, that's his choice I suppose. Although frankly I find it hard to understand with someone like Boomer/Athena around!

I don't think that's the only revelation about Mr Gaeta we'll be seeing during the finale.

I saw this early this morning and I just sat back and thought about it. Sure, Ron Moore can say that they were the first broadcast SciFi show that had two gays kissing on their show, but the wrinkle in that was it was shown in a webisode, not on air. It was tastefully done and the characters made it seem very low key and natural. I guess the problem I have with it is that the character has been around since the very beginning of the series and this is the first time that we've really been given any insight into Felix's character as an individual. Since it was shown in a webisode, I'm imagining that something will either happen to Felix or his fella by the time the new episodes begin to air in January so they won't even have to bring it up again.

As for any other revelations about Felix, I've got one that I've been waiting for ever since the episode where Sharon shot Bill Adama in the first season. That's just my opinion though.

I agree with you that we've been given very little view of Felix's life or even much of his inner life from a character development aspect.

However, I'd read between the lines before this little webisode reveal and pondered that A) Felix is gay, and B) he'd had a romantic or physical relationship with Baltar around the time of the RTFF landing on NC. His reactions toward Baltar after that point have been extreme, more than just those of a someone who'd be duped in a political deal. I think Baltar's whisper to Felix in the brig was Gaius threatening to reveal their affair. Based on Felix's behavior towards Baltar on NC, again when he tried to jam a pen in his neck in the brig, and his willingness to perjure himself on the stand when testifying in Baltar's trial, I think Felix was emotionally damaged by Gaius in a way that only a lover can be.

Okay, now my question is concerning Jadzia kissing her/his former wife on DS9. She's not gay, but she's female & kissing another female.

Oh, I think I just hurt my brain thinking too much. This is why I also hate temporal mechanics. :freak:

Being gay is not a choice.

On a lighter note, what's with the inaccurate Raptor on CIC? Check out how inaccurate this is!

Gaeta's actions and reactions towards Baltar have been excessive at times, and I suspected there was more to their relationship than we were privy to. My thoughts, however, were that Gaeta had made his feelings for Baltar known or perhaps made advances, and that he was spurned in a not-too-kind manner by Baltar.

Well, that's his choice I suppose. Although frankly I find it hard to understand with someone like Boomer/Athena around!Being gay is not a choice.I believe this as well. I don't think a person can choose to be homosexual any more than a person can choose to be heterosexual. The "choice" comes from whether or not an individual decides to acknowledge and accept their sexuality, especially when such a large percentage of the general public still view homosexuality as aberrant behavior.

On a lighter note, what's with the inaccurate Raptor on CIC? Obviously, the props guys don't do their homework....That appears to be one of the smaller models used in the CIC to denote troop positions during missions/battles. It doesn't have to be accurate; it merely has to represent a Raptor, which it does.
