Raunchy mmheyho 12-12-2008, 07:48 PM Is this the set: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2941816 I am going to check it out tomorrow at my local shop. Mike brownie374 12-13-2008, 02:15 AM $20.00 at costco resinmonger 12-13-2008, 03:04 AM That is a HO set. Ummmm Tyco/Mattel 440X2 chassis. Ummmm Speed Racer figure-eight. Get it before Rich does. :drunk::hat::freak::dude: Grandcheapskate 12-13-2008, 12:45 PM There are two Speed Racer sets. One sold for $30 at TRU (or $20 at Costco) and was a figure eight. The other set was larger and sold for $49.99. If the set is 50% off at $24.99, it is most likely the larger set. The cars from the two sets are quite different. Joe Rawafx 12-13-2008, 07:10 PM One set has a "Mach 5" and the other set has a "Mach 6" I believe....and the villian cars are different, too. Bob Weichbrodt "Rawafx" W-S, NC Grandcheapskate 12-17-2008, 09:19 PM The set on sale at TRU was not an HO race set. The cars were diecast. Joe Rauncy 12-18-2008, 09:04 AM the set in the flyer was a slot car set. Raunchy Grandcheapskate 12-18-2008, 08:40 PM The TRU here in NJ had a Hot Wheels Speed Racer set on sale for $24.99 (regular price $49.99). I took a guess this was the set you saw. The larger HO set in my TRU was still full price. I did however pick one up at BJ's today for $29.99. Silly looking cars, but I suffer from collector-itis.
