cheatr71 12-11-2008, 07:13 PM just curious ross, but what is the difference in the pro version and the last version you made 103? And why is it now for 20.00. I understand it takes time to produce something for other racers just asking a question, no direspect.
Jason
napolean 12-11-2008, 07:36 PM I've worked with the new program, and it is much more user-friendly, and includes pop-up screens that show resource material, such as different manufacturer's spring rates, and tire durometer numbers for the various manufacturers. There are screens that suggest the different solutions for handling problems, and one of the easiest rolling answers to gear, and roll-out questions. All the inputs are done with the mouse. Plus all these programs can be updated as time goes by, and more features are added. Throw away those set-up sheets, it'll all be stored on your computer.
If anyone thinks that this isn't WORTH $20, you're not a serious racer, for that matter what tool can you buy for this price that's worth more to you at a race. My problem is that it's going to force me to buy a laptop! LOL Ross has done an amazing job on this program, and has every right to be compensated for it. There's nothing out there like it!
DOUGHBOY 12-11-2008, 08:11 PM why shouldn't ross get paid for doing all the leg work that no one else has ever wanted to take the time to do... ross produces top notch stuff.. how about this cheatr71 why dont you go to work tomorrow and just tell them that you want to work for the rest of the week and dont worry about paying me.. its the same thing.... NOW PAY THE MAN!!!
Tj Towne 12-11-2008, 08:16 PM once you pay with paypal link does it automaticlly download or is it sent via email?
cheatr71 12-11-2008, 08:30 PM you guys have got that all wrong, I was not complaining about having to spend 20 frickin dollars for a kick butt program, I simply asked what the difference was between 103 and pro version, I don't beleive I asked for the communities opinion, this question was directed toward ross. I have no problem paying 20$ for a program, that is why I have his 3 previous programs. By alrights he deserves to be paid for his hard work to make racers life alot easier. Just everybody take a breather its ok.
Jason
DOUGHBOY 12-11-2008, 08:48 PM Ahh Breath Taken..... Maybe I Over Reacted
fla-racer57 12-11-2008, 08:58 PM And he still can't drive LOL!!!!!!!!!!

cheatr71 12-11-2008, 11:40 PM RPM (Ross) I meant no disrespect toward you, I think its fair that a program like yours helps us racers out. I plan on making it a purchase of mine tommorrow, just wondering does the program do grams or just ounces?

t4mania 12-16-2008, 11:08 AM Ross, can I get the program in both ounces and grams.
Ross, can I get the program in both ounces and grams.
http://photos.hobbytalk.com/data/510/thumbs/rosslogo.jpg (http://photos.hobbytalk.com/showphoto.php/photo/31511)
Yes you can.
This program uses Excel that's on most computers.
If you don't have it installed on your computer you can download Open Office Free here:
http://www.quick-download.info/openoffice/index2.php?gclid=CIz3lpvju5cCFQLixgod3x7LcQ
New update for big tracks that use the new bigger gears up to 72 tooth. :)
Thank you,
Ross Bartuccio
t4mania 12-16-2008, 08:37 PM Ross, is the program setup for multiple cars. In other words can I store different setups for different cars.
http://photos.hobbytalk.com/data/510/thumbs/rosslogo.jpg (http://photos.hobbytalk.com/showphoto.php/photo/31511)
YES!!
Questions are good to always ask.:)
Below is a instruction tab. Click on it and it's simple.
The instruction tab can be used for any picture, information etc.
The program works with parameters on the practice tab (main setup worksheet-
bottom right in red).
Start with your neutral setup.
Practice on the track and adjust the handling to where its close to getting
race ready.
Weight the car and enter weights in program.
Next, set the parameters in red (below right) until cross weight CW reads
FREE in condition.
Then adjust the front/rear weight until the four corner weights all turn
green which means the car is balance to the parameters set for the current track.
Each track has different parameters, different setup.
As tire wear and weights change or track gets loose as the day gos on the
condition will keep you very close.
The program has a practice tab on it (bottom left).
You right click on the practice tab and copy and rename the new tab as qualifier 1. (for example)
any changes made from practice tab to new tap (qualifier 1) can be viewed or printed out at any time (just click on the tab).
You can copy rename as many tabs as you like, qualifier 1,qualifier 2, qualifier 3, main, car1-main, car2- main, etc.
When your done save the program as (track-date) for reviewing at a later
time.
The more you use the program ,patterns will develop, the better
understanding and decision making you will have with your cars handling.
You can even personalize your racing screen with pictures and more...it all about learning and having fun!
If you have any more questions just ask.
I use this program and I'm always learning...:)
Thank you,
Ross Bartuccio

cheatr71 12-18-2008, 10:35 PM hey ross, just a suggestion could you make the program to include individual tire size(circum.) like one of your original programs? If so I would like that. i think you had a program like that I could be wrong. thank you Jason Van Hise.

I could program just about anything you want.
You mean input the tire size of each corner FL,FR,LR,RR.
Do you want to see the tire size splits or the difference from each corner size.
I'll look over the older programs.
No problem.
I'll get to work on it.
Thank you Jason,
Ross Bartuccio
cheatr71 12-19-2008, 01:54 PM Ross, all of that sounds good, I thought you made a program a long time ago which showed b4 and aft race tire size and told you whether the car was loose or tight. if not everything in your last post sounds good. Thank you. Jason
http://photos.hobbytalk.com/data/510/thumbs/rosslogo.jpg (http://photos.hobbytalk.com/showphoto.php/photo/31511)
Actually, the weighting of the tires keeps tires in check when you get each tire temperature the same with setup.
I removed the tire size feature from the old program as it made the screen to be cluttered with too much information.
This is why the weight of each wheel controls the condition through your set parameters. Everyone has there own driving style and feel for there cars handling.
So that any changes made from your existing setup the program will keep track of the weight changes that will effect the current condition.
Before you hit the track again.
HitmanIII 12-19-2008, 11:53 PM Buy the program! It will be the best money you will have spent for racing!

Was wondering if you could make it so you could do either. I takes awhile to up arrow if you make a dramatic change. Thank you.
