I have stock 4 lane artin track and 2 power supplies. When I put them through a reastat to slow the cars down one lane becomes significantly slower that the other when not a full on the reastat. Does this sound familar to anyone and is there a plug in answer since I am taking the track out to rent on Saturday.

If I understand your configuration correctly, you have two power packs plugged in to one reastat, correct? If that is the case, this definitely would make sense. I'd say get two reastat's and plug one power pack into each of them so that each pair of lanes has its only reastat control.

The alternative to doing something like this is buying a variable power supply that allows you to replace the power packs and go straight to a variable DC power source. You could then "dial in" the amount of voltage you wanted accordingly.
