after years of using acrylics for when I raced RC cars, I decided to grab some testors enamels, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! someone should have smacked me long ago.
I should have realy known better being my father was a paint an body man for 30 years. I WONT be using acrylics again unless I cant find the color I want an have it in acrylics, Ive had these acrylic paints for 8 years about 40 bottle an probable 30 colors.
Anyway my first JL i opened a few years ago which is a ROCKET for stock I decided I couldnt have a powder blue hotrod stang so I decided on dark metalic green, Ill be painting some strips as well, Im thinking dark metalic red to go with the xmass season.

Acrylic is the bomb when it comes to paint..
Now try base coat/ clear coat...I do alot of the base due to painting cars. I paint a car and if I like the color I paint a slot the same time..:dude:

well after stripping an not liking the look I stripped her down again an went back to just the green. I may put some silver stripes on later, but this green looks killer by itself

thanks everyone, I realy like this color too. as for wheels yeah I need to invest in some nice rims for it, I do have a set of AJ aluminum rims with foams I silicone coated but I think they are to big for this, Most of my rims are for tyco since Im just getting into messing with the t-jet style
