OK, I got this idea. There is going to be the Outlaw Thunder 600 at the Snowbirds this year. I am looking to see if there is enough interest from our members that are going to the Snowbirds to make a HobbyTalk Racing Team to compete in this race. It is an enduro race with 300 laps of on-road and 300 laps of oval.... more info at http://www.snowbirdnationals.com/Thunder600.htm and http://www.snowbirdnationals.com/snow2009/enduro.jpg

To make up a team we would need to find an 2 oval drivers, a spotter, 2 pit men and a mechanic. If we can find enough interest to field a team I will provide team t-shirts and pay the entry fee to the Outlaw Thunder 600 race.

So what do you say, you have what it takes?

Crew so far:
Driver number 1 is Brian McDonald (the legend)
Driver number 2 is Mike DeMallie (DRP)
Spotter is Billy Kimpton (fred)
Pit crew1: Peter Coll (Al Spina Fan)

Actually Hank, I believe all 600 laps are on the oval, teams for the outlaw portion can have any two drivers while the Invitational portion has to consist of an on road and an oval guy. Great Idea though... you should be able to pick up some quality talent here!

OK, looks like things are filling out. It most likely is too late to get t-shirts made but what i will do is send a HobbyTalk Racing team cap to all of the crew members plus pay the entry fee.

Come on, we just need two more crew members!
