sittinheavy 12-07-2008, 09:16 PM looking to make my truck a little more efficient around the track. currently running a xxxt with 0 toe in the rear, -1 1/2 degrees camber lf, +2 rf camber, silver springs in the back, red up front, 1/2" worth of shock limiter in each shock,80 weieght shock oil, and bsr greens all the way around. any additional tweaks you guys run?
tats31 12-08-2008, 10:19 AM Yeah go to an AE truck that will help:p

thats what i've been thinking, especially since the top 4 guys all run ae trucks. you missed it this weekend man. tq'd and took 1st in f-8 with my b4.
tats31 12-08-2008, 02:31 PM there is a reason almost all oval conversion and oval trucks are AE
they work best. Just sell your truck and get a t4 and then i will tell you were to get the special parts those guy are running. It will probly get me shot. sence on is my good friend.
fastforward 12-08-2008, 06:36 PM red springs up front, pink springs in rear. no shock limiter in rear shocks.take out the shock mount brackets in rear and use outside mounting holes for shocks.you want the rear to be straight across or even sag just slightly.45 weight oil.90 tooth spur gear. everything else you have is good.dont get rid of the truck. never lost on carpet with this setup.

i might try setting up a t4 and keep my losi. just wish they offered some of the oval specific stuff for losi's.

they sell all the good oval stuff you'll need for losi and associated trucks.... i've always like the associated trucks over the losi's....
tats31 12-09-2008, 11:02 PM hey chris dont give up what time will you get to the track this week or are you playing again this week i know you got to the track late last week.
I will be getting there about 10 we can work o your truck and the other stuff i am not allowed to talk about because my pal might kill me.
ta_man 12-10-2008, 01:34 AM Guy I race against has an XXX-T set up to use saddle packs. He puts 3 cells in the center battery tray and tapes in the other three where most people install the speed control. He currently holds the track record, but now that I've got my T3 lower to the ground and offset to the left, I'm even with or faster than he is (but no record for me because of traffic).
ToddFalkowski 12-10-2008, 09:00 AM Define "stock" trucks... Is that:
- A "truck" with a stock motor in it
- A truck that is in mostly stock kit form (no offset chassis, lowered towers, etc... something you can change the setup on and go offroading with)
I ask, as there's a few guys at our track racing option #2. The fast guy is running a Losi, and it gets around pretty darn good. I can get his setup if that's what you're doing.
tats31 12-10-2008, 09:10 AM The truck basicly has to be able to go off road with little work.
No offset no lowered shock towers no short shocks you can change trans gears just has to stay same ratio. any spur pinion combo 27t 6 cell foams
tats31 12-10-2008, 09:12 AM hey todd he would be very thankful if you could. opt 2

gotta be able to keep the battery in the stock location due to track rules. thanks though
