Hi Guys,

All is shaping up well for the New Year Dash carpet oval event at CRC Raceway in Rome, NY. We are expecting another great turnout of the finest oval racers in the Northeast. Yes, this is the 13th year of this Championship.

Classes:

1/10th 13.5 Brushless/Lipo 21.5
1/10th Stock - 17.5 BL
1:12th 17.5/27 turn
1:12th GTP (for road course cars)
Truck-Suspension
Losi Sliders - Box stock, kit battery
Losi Late Model

A very affordable "low dough" show. Only $15 for the first class, $10 for additional classes. If you run the club race Friday, save $5 on your first entry.

I would expect to see oval guru's Stevie "Rocket" Miller, Pete D'Agnolo, and Steve Pemberton. In addition to these oval champions, look for road course wizards Jeff Dayger, John and Tom Firsching, Brian Wynn and Mark + Frank Calandra to try their hand on the oval. Should be another classic battle on the oval at CRC Raceway.

The list of former champions of this race is a who's who of oval racing, Mike Murphy, Todd Putnam, Pete D'Agnolo, Steve Miller and Brian Ziegler, to name a few. Jason Nick, Tom Hargrove, Steve Salvas, Mike McDermott, Justin Belfiore and Dan Hanson are just a few names that made it last year. The Albany crew that includes John Fisler and Joe Corradi have been in attendance for years.

For those who want a bit of testing, we will have a club race Friday night, December 26th. On Friday, doors open at 4 PM with racing starting at 7:30 AM.

This should be an awesome race!! I'm in for 12th oval and 10th 21.5 Lipo!! Now I get a shot at Fisler in the stock/17.5 class. LOL How many of the ole Lathem crowd will make their return for this?? Can't wait!!

What are the rules for the late models? Watch out PREMCRAFT-Fisler has a late model too!

Hi Guys.... quite a few calls about the race. We have guys looking to run suspension, lots of slider and late model calls.

Also, 21.5 lipo/13.5 4 cell issues..... looks like we will break that into 2 different classes. The Northeast is seems to be heavy into round cells and the 5 minute race may spell doom for the 13.5's. Or would you rather run 4 mins? Let us know.

I believe it's any ROAR approved brushless. Its not a Novak only race.

Also, there is a practice race on this Sunday the 21st. Doors open at 11:00am racing starts at 1:00pm.

Sunday Dec 21 - Oval Club race - Doors at 11, racing 1PM
Friday - December 26 - Oval Club race - Doors at 4PM. Racing @ 7:30
Saturday December 27 - 13th Annual New Year Dash

Maybe, we can get Stevie to give up Wendy's for just one meal and go to the Franklin Hotel for dinner....best Italian food this side of Italy (or the Calandra household).

Everyone's talkin about this race. It should be a great show. I saw Pete and Sam in Rochester this past week. Also, Daryl Barrett will be bringing in the McPappy race team for the event. Some of the other Rochester folks from East Ridge are making the trip.
