We had a class poll that had a strong opinion about no future change, what about the Body of Tomorrow? Remember this poll will not change anything but can give the top shelf an idea of what racers are thinking.

MSadler 12-05-2008, 12:50 AM Tim if you vote you can break the tie....LOL Tim Mc 12-05-2008, 12:52 AM Well, I didn't want to be one of the first since I created the poll but here goes.... LOLTim if you vote you can break the tie....LOL Tim Mc 12-05-2008, 01:44 AM Mike, you're gonna vote right? :) IN2RACIN 12-05-2008, 12:30 PM Maybe by 2011 NASCAR will be back to our current body type. Lets hope! LetsRace 12-05-2008, 01:14 PM Maybe by 2011 NASCAR will be back to our current body type. Lets hope! exactly.. we don't have to do it just because they did. the reasons they did it have really nothing to do with us. they may change it back. the racing is so boring now because they aren't racing each other that much from what i have seen. they are all trying to get a handle on the car and who ever seems to be able to hang on the best to a loose car wins. seriously. its boring to watch. the only ones worth watching is tracks where the body doesn't factor in to much. if you get to see any of it between all the commercials that is. No kiddin'....NAPCAR = NAP CAR.. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ LOL aracefan3 12-05-2008, 04:28 PM the COT body has the silly wing we would break off the first race. The front air dam thing wouldnt last either. Forget the change. wcm00 12-05-2008, 06:58 PM Have U Seen The New Cot Body That Nascar Has For The Nationwide Series For 2010? I Like The Rear Section, They Still Have The Spoiler , Not A Wing. I Think That Body Will Work Better Than The One Used In Sprint Now. 4-Cell Racer 12-05-2008, 07:11 PM In NASCAR, I would rather see the COY car (car of yesterday) than the COT car. Racing was more exciting then. The COT body would break to easy. I say keep what we got. Tim Mc 12-12-2008, 10:41 AM Looks like the majority of racers are in favor of the current body whether it be for two more seasons or many more down the road. Brent 01-25-2010, 06:59 PM Looks like all you guys was right all along! Back to the spoilers. I wonder how much NASCAR spend developing the wing on the COT? willyplankhead 01-25-2010, 07:18 PM Well they hand out the wings so its there money they have invested and I heard the cost per wing was a few thousand god knows how many they had manufactured the teams only supplied the end plates so they got away with the change cheap Tim Mc 01-25-2010, 07:56 PM If I had it to do all over again, I would have voted "bring back the latemodel body." Is there anyone else that would change their vote? johnnyhacksaw 01-25-2010, 08:09 PM If I had it to do all over again, I would have voted "bring back the latemodel body." Is there anyone else that would change their vote? i was wondering about that.....i'm for what we have know. i'm in for these cars in 1/4 scale......... http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab265/johnnyhacksaw/madhouse-modified-division.jpg RACER03 01-25-2010, 08:20 PM A diffrent body like the new nationwide cars would be very neat. I mean how long do you really want 2 run the same thing granted there is nothing wrong with it and works but there is nothing wrong with adding something a little diffrent. Tim Mc 01-25-2010, 08:38 PM I hear ya Johnny!!:thumbsup:i was wondering about that.....i'm for what we have know. i'm in for these cars in 1/4 scale......... http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab265/johnnyhacksaw/madhouse-modified-division.jpg ScottH 01-25-2010, 08:45 PM I would like to see a 1/4 scale body similar to the 1/10 Protoform THD. Tim Mc 01-25-2010, 08:45 PM How about one of these?... http://www.speed51.com/2009_Photos/ASA_LM/ASA_LM_2010_Camaro.jpeg.jpg http://www.speed51.com/2009_Photos/ASA_LM/ASA_LM_2010_Mustang.jpeg.jpgA diffrent body like the new nationwide cars would be very neat. I mean how long do you really want 2 run the same thing granted there is nothing wrong with it and works but there is nothing wrong with adding something a little diffrent. Tim Mc 01-25-2010, 08:47 PM Scott, you gotta pic of it?I would like to see a 1/4 scale body similar to the 1/10 Protoform THD. ScottH 01-25-2010, 08:50 PM http://www.prolineracing.com/images/products/1226-21.jpg Tim Mc 01-25-2010, 09:04 PM I think the shock towers would stick up thru the hood...lol. ScottH 01-25-2010, 09:06 PM Just a little. :D In knowing how that body reacts I would really like to see it on the big car. Great steering downforce, rear is good and stable and it rotates real well. Clemenade 01-25-2010, 09:20 PM bring back the cars of the 80's and early 90's. I love the late eighties monte carlos. gotta love the old school cars. fasteddie09 01-25-2010, 09:34 PM Keep same bodys ScottH 01-25-2010, 09:36 PM Nah, the front ends on these cars are blount enough. Echeconnee 01-25-2010, 09:39 PM Who makes the current Dodge body? Echeconnee 01-25-2010, 09:41 PM I would like to see a Charger myselfNah, the front ends on these cars are blount enough. ScottH 01-25-2010, 09:41 PM I think it is WCM that makes them dizzy 01-25-2010, 10:20 PM I would like to see the new Nationwide cars. that would be cool. willyplankhead 01-25-2010, 10:40 PM hey scott post a pic of the cot protoform body it looks great 2 but would be better with the spoiler ScottH 01-25-2010, 10:42 PM http://www.prolineracing.com/images/products/1230-30.jpg willyplankhead 01-25-2010, 10:50 PM yeah so is anyone ready to up grade yet 2 bodys that look a alot better than what we run plus more areo ScottH 01-25-2010, 10:53 PM I think the real question is do the guys that make the bodies now want to invest the $$$ in new molds. From what I understand that is where the expense lies. stivy 01-25-2010, 11:09 PM I don't know if anyone has noticed, but NASCAR is looking into doing away with the wing on the cup car and going back to the spoiler. There is an open test with the spoiler on the COT in March. They also done away with the yellow line at the superspeedways. willyplankhead 01-25-2010, 11:25 PM we know bob ScottH 01-25-2010, 11:38 PM Now they need to get rid of that body and go back to them looking different than each other. stivy 01-26-2010, 09:10 AM we know bob If everybody knows, then why does this post still sound like everybody is crying about the wing when the wing will be a thing of the past. Hey Will, hold my beer and watch this!!!!!:jest: willyplankhead 01-26-2010, 09:23 AM Lol, the yellow line rule is staying and maybe let them have a no call on the last lap and bigger plate and unlimited bump drafting here is your beer back willyplankhead 01-26-2010, 09:33 AM I don't know why they don't start the season off with the spoiler instead of waiting a few races because all the teams would have to deal with it and with the testing they have done so far they have got nothing but positive feedback LetsRace 01-26-2010, 12:12 PM I don't know if anyone has noticed, but NASCAR is looking into doing away with the wing on the cup car and going back to the spoiler. There is an open test with the spoiler on the COT in March. They also done away with the yellow line at the superspeedways. they didn't do away with the yellow line rule. that still stands. but the wing will be gone eventually. im glad for that. if they have done testing already . it makes you wonder why wait. but then again not everyone is involved when it comes to testing. and that is too big a race , speed, track, to suddlely change the rules on some of the smaller entrants. this is one of those races that a few cars/names try to make it in that don't race the rest of the year. maybe that i part of the reason. or give everyone a chance to be ready for the switch, make spoilers, templates , etc. im glad they are getting rid of the wing though. maybe they can get back to racing instead of seeing who can hold onto the looses race car to win. the wing only helps that loose car from getting away from them. im glad to see some relaxing on the bump draft too. what a boring race the last time they made a big deal out of it. IN2RACIN 01-26-2010, 01:24 PM Now if they (nascar) could only get rid of the front splitter!! wcm00 01-26-2010, 05:37 PM Testing with the new spoiler has already been done last week during a tire test. Biffle, Bush, Vickers and one other driver done the test. They all agreed that the spoiler is better than the wing. Nascar is also testing a bigger tire for sprint cup. Several other changes are in the plans to change the cot body. I think they have finally realized they screwed up with this change and are trying to back peddel. Sounds like prez OBA to me. Jacobey 01-26-2010, 06:40 PM bring back the cars of the 80's and early 90's. I love the late eighties monte carlos. gotta love the old school cars. I agree  big maestro 01-26-2010, 09:28 PM I agree  I have both of those bodies. Anyone know how to make lexan copy's with them. Tim Mc 01-26-2010, 10:43 PM We could start a new body support thread. Show interest and commit to purchasing a new body. The last thing a mfg needs is to invest without return. What do you think? willyplankhead 01-26-2010, 10:45 PM That full size ss aero coupe I got sitting in the shop would be a great model for a mold maker willyplankhead 01-26-2010, 10:50 PM I did have a chat with dale at protoform a few weeks back he didn't rule it out on making a body but at the time his forming equipment would not accommodate the size Tim Mc 01-26-2010, 10:52 PM Well, if we gotta backup....:hat: http://www.mcallisterracing.com/racing/img20.jpg http://www.mcallisterracing.com/racing/img21.jpg But I would prefer to stay with current series bodies ASA or Nascar. willyplankhead 01-26-2010, 10:59 PM The aero coupe was the best looking cup body period in the modern age vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
