Prince Charles Garvey Junior McKay, aka CJ, meets Casper, aka White Cat, the fastest right paw in the land. Casper may be nearly 14 years old but he can still show a youngster who should be respected.

No animals were mistreated in this video. Well, maybe a little, but at least I didn't do it.

...he hasn't met Smokey yet, he's pissed off and hiding.

HAHAHA!!! Cute puppy Pete! New addition to the McKay family, eh? I'm hearing a lot of people getting puppies for Christmas this year. Great addition to the family. Just remember, not all family members are thrilled with who you bring home, but eventually they figure out how to get along together.

Enjoy the pup!

CJ is being trained as a service dog, he's an AKC Cocker that is only 3 months old. But he is learning already I would say.

AH! Now that is awesome bro! Just to be clear, when you say service dog, you are not talking about a dog that goes and picks up HO cars that deslot, right? HAHAHA!!! Just messin with ya! LOL!

Good luck with his training! While we do not have a Cocker, we do have a Sheltie that is well behaved and trained by my wife and I, so if you have any questions, let me know...we might be able to help. Although if the training that you did with Smokey is any indication of your animal training abilities, this ought to be interesting and good!

If they hit the ground he'll be picking them up. I can't bend anywhere near what I used to. Sometimes when I get down on the floor to do my stretches I have a real hard time getting up. And it's only going to get worse. He's going to be my fetch and retrieve dog.

HAHA! Bro, I was just kidding, but it sounds like that's exactly what you got him for. I was thinking from the terms of a service dog, many of them doing things such as open doors or even do things like bark until help arrives or goes and gets help (I know, very Lassie like, but it's true).

I didn't realize how severe your flexibility had been cut due to the rods, but that makes sense. You probably can bend a little at the knees to lower yourself, but beyond that, it's very limiting.

Good luck with getting CJ up to speed in the development and training department - he'll serve you well bro. And I'm glad to hear that you are doing the PT at home bro - keep up the good work. I know it can be hard at times, but don't give up!

I can't bend at the knees because I still have some legiment damage in my left knee, and you'd be suprised how much pressure your glutes apply when you come up from a squat. I can bend but the whole bottom of my spine, all of the lumbar vertibrae are essentially fused. When I get down I go down on my right knee only.

PT continues but a second home health nurse is gone, this one lasted a whole day and a half. I don't allow smoking in my house, even on my balcony and I guess that's an issue. The next one had better not have that kind of issues. Until then the ex has been amazingly helpful.

Is the legiment damage permanent or something they believe will repair itself with time and PT? And with you only being able to go down on your right knee that's got to be putting some stress there too - ouch.

I don't blame you on the smoking in or around the house issue. We have a few of my wife's friends that still smoke, but most of them know to take it outside away from the house and they are at least respectful in that regard. But with having someone that is your PT and maybe getting a little close to help you do certain things, I can only imagine. The wife and I used to smoke years ago.....they say ex-smokers are the worse about not liking the smoke smell.....they are SO right! HAHAHA!!

It should heal eventually but between the damaged glute muscle and the knee I can't push myself up well on the left side. that's where the stairs therapy comes in. I can do the five up-and-down trips now without too much of a problem.

I generally tolerate smoking where I can but this apartment is so small once the smell gets in it takes days of spraying and airing it out to clear out. The intake for my heater is just off my balcony so it sucks the smoke from there and put it back in the house. I mean, it's bad enough I have cat box fumes sometimes, Smokey needs an activated charcoal attachment on his tailpipe really bad.

That is awesome that it will heal up Pete! I guess its like any other part of the body - just gotta get it used to working a certain way through repetition and it will be up to snuff.

LOL at Smokey! Actually, I used to joke with people that would come over and asked if we minded if they smoked - I'd usually say in reply, "No, I don't mind if you smoke. Do you mind if I fart in your general direction?" hehehehe
