Folks,

It's been months since I've posted up here, and unfortunately months since I've really tinkered with my track and cars. My son (our second kid) was born back in mid-January and I'd started a new job about a few weeks after that. Throw in the spring and summer, and I've had absolutely no time to dedicate to the hobby :freak:

Anyhow, with the holidays back at us, it brings up great memories of last year this time- getting back into slots after over a couple decades away from it. With holiday stress back again, it's time to wander back down to the basement, take some cleaner to the track and cars, and have at it again!

I've clearly got a lot to catch up on around here, so I'm going to be diving into the community chatter. It's great to wander back around here; but with the two kids (daughter 2 years, 3 months; son going on 11 months), it's a real handful at night.

Great to be back, and see some names from early this year who've helped guide me in getting back into the hobby. Hope you've all had a healthy, happy year; hope your Thanksgivings were thankful, and hope your Christmas / Hannukah / etc. are joyous and healthy. Of course, have a happy New Year as well!

Vince

You know Vince, you could put a small track around the tree. For decoration, of course....

I'd love to put a track around the tree one day- whether it be trains or cars. Not in the cards right now, not with two very quizzical kids and three dogs. One day when the kids are a little older, I'd do it.

Happy to hear your all well. Sounds like the family is growin up nicely. It's a full time job with young ones. Bet they can grip a controller now but probably havn;t got a clue what its used for yet. HA! Starting a new job takes alot out of you also. My oldest son is graduating H.S. mid-term (Dec) and is going to Boot Camp USMC the 15th.

H.O., first off congrats to your son and a huge thank you for his service to our country. Politics aside, it takes a special individual to join the service. I know of a few folks who've been part of the Marine Corps, and this country sleeps safely because of their existence.

The kids are worth all the sacrifice, and I now have an enhanced appreciation for my parents and all they did for us growing up.

I will continue towish everyone here a great holiday season. Be safe and happy.
