View Full Version : SCX Qualifiying Race For The SCX Championship

For Those of you who didn't make the the Greenburg Show. The SCX Slot Car Tracks Where the Show Of the Show And Of Course the SCX Crew.

So last Saturday, Nov. 29, was the last chance qualifier race for the SCX National Championship Series. The race was held at the New Jersey Expo Center in Edison, New Jersey. 10 racers tried to qualify (though Rob Holt raced as well even though he'd already qualified) for the final race Dec. 13th.

Cars sit in the box after being inspected prior to the race. Each car was tech inspected then held in this box to insure that all cars were present and legal for racing.

SCXWW member Marcus (RCRDITS screen name) shows the SCX Digital track to folks during the qualifying race at the show. The digital track was set up next to the track being used for the qualifying race. Marcus had tons of visitors that day with young racers taking turns racing around the track.

As I noted the top 4 racers qualified for the finals. Rob Holt is noted on the sheet on the finishing order but he raced for fun in the race.

Hello Marcus,
Glad to see everybody having FUN with lot car racing:woohoo:. When is your next event? and location?
Slot car racing is alot of fun, its nice to trade paint and laughter,and everybody working together as one big happy slot car family.:thumbsup:

Hello S&E! Yes it is a heck of a lot of "FUN". KIDS & FAMILY comes 1st, but we all have to help do it all together.

The SCX National Series Race final will be held Dec. 13th at the Valley Forge Convention Center in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania during the Greenberg Trainshow. Doors will open at 10am and racing will start around 11am.
