Here's news right from Hobby Town USA in Glen Burnie MD. With respect to the oval racing there. The racer count has to come up a good bit at least double what have had in the last 2 race days. The owner has said that unless we have 12 or more racers (12 being a minimum) the indoor oval season will end prematurely.
At this time we have 13.5 4 cell and 19 turn brushed 4 cell classes. From what a few have said it looks like the Losi latemod class will have a growth spurt from nutthing to 4 or more in the next couple weeks.
To any lipo /BL racers out there........if you run 17.5 or 21.5 BL motors HEY come on down and race with us. All we ask is that lipo's are charged in a proper charging sack. Trust me this short track might only handle 17.5 at the most.
Losi late mod rules are VERY simple buy it charge it tune it race it. Our goal is to keep the latemods as close to box stock as we can. Shocks and springs can be changed for tuning. After that only durability parts can be changed. After all it's no fun to loose a race time after time to the same stock part failing in the middle of a run.
In the pan car ranks 13.5 4 cell and the 17.5 and 21.5 lipo classes we'll have to figure out a MaH cap but batteries and motors are open to any roar approved motor will be fine, as well as any speed control. As for the 19 turn 4 cell class well that open to any 19 turn motor and ESC.
In closing for those of you who have raced with us in the past please come on back and run with again. For those looking for some good old fashioned short track racing come on down and join us !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
