There is a large antique show in Columbus, OH my wife and I go to every year. It is mostly to look around. When I find something I want, it is usually outrageously priced. Today for example a vendor had a few T-Jets. Most were painted or cut or missing pieces or all of the above. The cheapest one was $60 and the most expensive was $100. Nothing rare or unusual, common T-Jets. Or another vendor had a used T-jet set in the original box with 2 cars for $250.

So I bought
-Car Model Magazines
-50's and 60's car magazines
-Star Wars Vans model kits
and this

I picked up and he said he wanted $20 for it. I offered him $18 and he accepted it. There is a sticker on the bottom that had $25 on it. He must have been trying to sell it for a while. The box came with it, no card.

Nice car like that would make the trip worthwhile for me! Nice T jet for less than $20!

The whole antique seems to be a bit cyclical, but the smart vendors don't let their stuff sit so long they gather dust. $250 for a used set? I might LOOK twice if it was one of those Penny's sets with a blue Mach 1....

Looking again at the pictures I posted the car looks yellow. It is actually white w/black stripes.

I forgot to mention the vendor that had a box of broken incomplete Strombecker 1/32 cars with a box of rusty track for $200.
