The LHS that orders from Racemasters told me yesterday that the Mega-G is shipping on Monday, so he should have them by mid-week or so. When I asked if the clear GT-40s were part of that shipment, he said he was not sure . . .

At any rate, Mega-G in my hands and racing around my track this week, God willing. :woohoo:

The cars are shown over on the AFX site:

GT40 #8 - Whitmore (http://www.toyracecars.com/product_info.php?cPath=27&products_id=157&osCsid=6ce84e1d3e85aa5660afe02339e6e1c5)

GT40 #6 - Andretti (http://www.toyracecars.com/product_info.php?cPath=27&products_id=156&osCsid=6ce84e1d3e85aa5660afe02339e6e1c5)

All the new cars, etc., are there -- with release dates -- and full information. The new clear body Daytona Coupe is a quantum leap in detail over the previous versions, and the Chaparral looks much better, too.

I saw the cars in person at iHobby.

The container should have come in Saturday. I will know tomorrow morning but your source is good and I am expecting to ship to our distributors starting Tuesday . . . Mega-Gs and CLEARS.

I'll stop back tomorrow and confirm, good or bad.

These upcoming bodies are without a doubt the nicest volume production HO slot car bodies ever produced. I expect these will become highly collectible and hold their value from day one. The only down side is the separation anxiety (as in wings and body parts) that will accompany putting these on the track in highly competitive racing situations.

Looking forward to seeing these show up in the hobby stores.

Does this include the UK order?

I best get some packing boxes, bubble wrap etc then :)

I ran my Mega-G a lot at the weekend, and let all and sundry loose on it too. It now has a small crack in the front wing, but I expected that. The rear wing, which I was also worried about until I saw the design, has no damage whatsoever.

As a qualifyer to these observations, I should point out neither the chassis or body I have are final versions.

Steve --

Congratulations on getting the cars in - the cumulation of a lot of hard work by both you and many others!

Now, there's only the mad shipping rush left before you can kick back and enjoy the holidays!

Good luck!
