This is my Matchbox Mercedes that I bought in the fall of '65 at the age of 9. I think it cost 50 cents.It was bought at a stationary store on Nostrand Ave.It was originally red colored.It was repainted in the '70's.
As you can see she's has been "around the track" a few times !

The bottom says :

220 SE
Made in England by Lesney # 53
