Got my new Carney Plastics 108 car display last week, just put it up today. Had a bunch of stuff backed up that needed opening!

Now I have room for more preorders! Plenty of room left for more.

This is a TIMEX watch display I picked up at an antique mall for $30! It could stand a thorough cleaning but I loaded it anyway. There are 9 shelves that hold 30 cars each. It lights up and a motor spins the whole thing continously at the perfect speed. I thought it was a good deal.

Finally this acrylic cube holds most of the larger scale stuff I like to display. It was an architectural mockup for an office park. There were buildings and trees in it when I got it, not any more!

Thought I'd share.

That Carney case looks great but I predict that it will be full very, very quickly.

I will be opening a few more RLC pieces sonn, I need to dig them out. I did not open them originally because the timex tower was full. That was 2 108s ago, now they are buried. I still have JL MoparNC 1-36 I could open. The pic of the second Carney has 2 rows of RLC/$TH stuff. Both 108s will be ALL GL soon enough! I will need a seperate just for RLC/Hunts. MO MONEY! Took a while to break down and buy the second one, it will take even longer this time. If you have considered one of the Carneys they are very nice. Thanks for the comments!

Great, step-by-step pics, including "the aftermath". My favourite is of all of the GLs waiting to be opened. Great display case too - just what I need, although it would probably cost me a million dollars to get one shipped to Canada.

I also had fun looking at the finished display. I can spot a few cars that are on their way to me in the mail now. :)

The 2 108 car units are identical. The 1st one cost me $103 to my door. The second I wanna say was $108 to my door 2 weeks ago. I ordered a smaller unit for my Dad for Christmas but I haven't opened it yet. I expect it to be just as nice. The larger the case the more bang for your buck though.

I ordered two about a year ago and it actually wasn't that bad overall. The shipping cost was going to be the same weather I ordered one or two so I decided to splurge!

I would love to get my hands on one of those rotating displays but I have never been in the right place at the right time!

But there's shipping, exchange, and duty, right? Can you give me an idea of the total cost?

The newest 108 Carney will be all Greenlight Mopar, the other will be all greenlight chevy/olds/ford. I will need another for miixed off brand diecast, HW/JL stuff mostly.

Doesn't look like much of a party, no women & one can of Pepsi :freak: Glad you didn't invite me:p

I really want one of those Carney cases, but I always end up buying more cars. I like those watch displays too, I have a small one I got at Ames when they closed. Thanks for sharing!

That is a dandy Timex case, especially for $30. I also have the Monster Jam and Classics cardboard displays in my room.

To bad you can't use all those plastic blisters for something. Maybe build a birdhouse out of them and give it as a gift for Christmas.:wave:

Nice! I see we have the same tastes, GL mopars, JL mopars and more and more mopars.
I'm pretty backed up too and need at least 4 more 108 car cases just for my chrysler pieces.

I gotta say great minds think alike!, Thanks for sharing your pics.

Gave my Dad his Carney 54 for Christmas, it too was very nice. I'm almost ready to buy my 3rd 108! I just had another little opening party including this.
