just getting into oval racing on carpet and have been thinking of buying a tire truer and thoughts of goods a bads, are there ceratin sizes to try to obtain when trueing, or a good starting point, what about cuting them with camber, any ideas would help me.

Most guys I know, cut to 2.2 smooth edges with fine sand paper. Knowing the size and having tires precut helps maintain or change roll out. Smaller tires less rotating mass is faster.

If your buying a truer take a look at the Integy Automatic good value for around 200 dollars. Arbors are extra. Good Luck
