What's the best glue to glue sheet plastic to a JL?
Will Testors work?

Super? I'm not sure Testor's will penetrate the JL paint if your trying to bond on an unstripped body. rr

Yes I agree here. Need to remove any paint or chrome finish to bond any surfaces. Plastic to plastic is they key here.
Looks like you have a great Custom in the works Mr. Cobra Dude!
When I was a kid my one of my Dads Co-Workers (Mike) decided it would be fun to build car models after seeing some of my Dads stuff. They both worked for the Army Corps of Engineers in the drafting department....Perfectionist they were.
I got to see the model Mike painted up, a real neat 2 tone Dodge truck, and it looked almost real because of the paint detailing he did. Then it started to come apart after a short while because, he didn't scrape any paint or Chrome off before gluing. He gave up after that and I got a nice Pickup with some prep work that needed to be done.
Hope this doesn't come off as me being a no-it all or jerky. Just saying. :)
Bob...Can't wait to see your builds...zilla

Listen to Zilla and Roadrunner...they are wise.
For bonding styrene and the like, proper fusion is the ticket. Without exception paint should always be removed.
Testors liquid will work fine. However it will not span gaps! So your joints must be snug for it to work properly. Prep prep prep....Did i mention prep? LOL!
If you've got gap-osis you'll have to use something of the gelatinous variety. Good luck!

Thanks for the information. I knew about the paint, I had already removed all of the chrome and soaked it for a couple days in Simple Green which usually will remove paint and chrome but didn't really touched this stuff, last night I read on here where some had good luck with alcohol. I have been scraping areas to work on to get all of the paint off and in some areas just to thin the plastic down. I was just curious if some plastic cement work better than others because the plastic seems so soft after the airplane models I used to work down.
I have some nasty allergic reactions to superglue so I just don't touch that stuff anymore. I forgot when I asked if Testors would work, I was talking about the original tube glue, not the non-toxic stuff.
