A JOE MYERS EVENT
http://southwesttour.com/images/swt_orion.jpg

Although we just concluded our 2008 Points Championship Season a week ago, we are already working on our 2009 events schedule for both our POINTS events, and our "special" **ALLSTAR SHOOTOUT**

We've already run into scheduling issues for next season that will require us to move the date on our popular Allstar event, and we are currently unsure if it will be moved forward to APRIL or to a date later in the year.

I want to thank ALL the companies who were a part of our first 2 annual events, and made this the most anticipated OVAL race on the West Coast.

I also want to invite everyone back to be a part of next years as well, along with other interested companies who may be looking for a way to showcase your products in this market.

Joe
I would say move the Allstar-Shootout to the last weekend in April.

Steve,

That's kind of the TARGET I'm shootout at..but it's too early to call it yet, lots of other logistics next year..and it looks like Racer's Haven won't be doing any Paved Oval next year due to their lack of participants for their local events...which could end up meaning MORE carpet - not sure yet.

I was glad to return to HAVEN this year, Bakersfield has been a large part of the West Coast OVAL scene for so long, it seems a shame when there's no racing there...hopefully something will happen with the old SHOWTIME Track - I'd love to see it get back up and running, but this economy may just not let that happen.

Bring on the velo! Any idea as to the format yet, motor etc? The season just ended and I am ready to do it all again.

The end of April sounds good as long as the weather holds out, if not then late summer would be good so we don't get cooked again.

Great season once again Joe, Thanks.

Brad

Could be some good paved racing next year at the ROADRUNNERS track. The track is being re-paved the first weekend of december. Track will have fresh asphalt NOT a slurry. :woohoo:
