I am new to lighting kits up but I think the NX-01 should be one to light after seeing all the cool kits that everyone else has done. My hats off to each and everyone of you; awesome work. My question is if I am lighting the nacelle up of the NX-01 with blue LED"S should I paint the clear plastic coils with Tamiya clear blue? ALso the bussard collectors: red led and clear red paint or just the led? Need your input on this, thanks quantum torpedo::thumbsup:

Eeeh, if it were me, I'd frost the clear parts to make them diffusers to spread out the light given off by the internal LEDs.

And it will look better when the lights aren't on... (painting them I mean - but frost them as well using an extra layer of clear sheet styrene, at least behind the blue part of the warp engines.

Don't forget the pix as you build. :) rr

I'd frost the insides and paint them with the clear blue

it'll give you a nice, diffused blue.
