Hey all, I am looking for a novice electric indoor oval class to run over at Classic in Akron. I used to race the trinity spec 1/10th cars many years ago at Scooters in Niles Ohio and enjoyed that class very much. I still have both cars, but I'm sure the r/c world has moved way beyond them. I would like to find a 1/10 or 1/18 class that draws very well every week if I can, and is around my budget/skill level (if I have any left that is )
Thanks Jim

Jim,
The Spec Nastruck might be ideal for you, any 1/10 pan car chassis, spec tires, Nastruck body, Murdock 3000 spec 4 cells, and either 17.5 brushless or 27 turn stock motor, minimal tire wear, good close racing, good crowd every week. This class is also ran at many of the other local tracks. Bob Williams runs it every week at Classic and would be of help to you.

Classic also runs alot of 1/18th scale cars.
Most notably the Associated 18B/T/S's
They have both a stock and mod class that run on the oval track on Saturdays.
They also run them on the road course on Friday nights.
Pretty much the only mod you'd need would be to put on foam tires for like $27 a set.

Look under the Mini area on here. Classic has a thread on there.

Jim,
Stop up any Saturday, except the 29th I'll be at the Indoor Champs, and we can get you pointed in the right direction. Just ask for Bob Williams.

Thank you all for the help, sounds like the 1/18th maybe for me. I have to get my butt up there in the next week or two. It is nice to see so many still enjoy the hobby.
