I have 3200's, 4000's and 6000's crash 11-22-2008, 09:34 AM I discharge mine at 30 amps down to 6 volts (3v per cell) then charge em at 12 amps to 8.44 as long as you dont go lower than 6v or over 8.44 they dont seem to be affected negatively by the high amps. and the high disharge than high charge rate warms the battery up a bit (never gets hot or swells) and it seeems to feel a little punchier on the track. This cycle system above works fine but really shortens the life of your Lipo pack. A better way is to heat the pack and never discharge your lipo pack. You get the performance without loss of battery life. t4mania 11-23-2008, 01:56 AM Thanks for the info guys. ta_man 11-23-2008, 02:33 AM SMC (and others) recommend storing them at about 30-40% charge. I have found that discharging to 7.4V at .8C will get you right about 35% remaining charge with the SMCs. .8C is 4A for the 5000s, 3.2A for the 4000s, 2.56A for the 3200s, and so on. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
