I have the chance to pick up a novak crawler brushless esc for next to nothing, but I do not know if it will work for oval racing, say 17.5 lipo..Any suggestions?

I've been using a 21.5 Crawler since last january. No Problems whatsoever.

I was told [directly from the tech people at Novak] that the only difference between a 21.5 SSPro and a 21.5 Crawler was the Crawler does NOT have the thermal protection circuit.

go to novak web site and look at the spec for the gtb and the crawler esc's and compare

James 35, I was thinking the same thing! I figure I can dial out reverse from my radio, and the load capacity is the same as an xbr, so I'm gonna try it!
