I'm not to familiar with the LRP esc, I have the comp version(don't know how to tell if it's the 2007 version). My question is, what is the long thin blue wire that comes out of the esc, it almost looks like a reciever wire, what purpose does it serve? I looked at pics of spheres on google and some have this wire and others dont. Thanks in advance for any help.

The only blue wire i've seen coming out of them connect to the "A" post on a brushless motor.
edit.... I take that back, I looked at some pics and saw the wire you were talking about. Not sure what that is. I have had 4 of them over the past year and none of them have had that wire.

hmmmm could the newer versions have a THERMAL sensor like the GTBs? the blue wire on the NOVAK motors is for the thermal sensor...
non of my 3 LRP's have a blue wire, but my COMP is the 06.
The 06 has a small capacitor, the 07 has a large one, from my understandings... plus the 07 has more profile settings

It's not the standard 07. I have 3 of them, no blue wires...

Assuming that it's a very small wire coming out next to the receiver cable, it's most likely it's a wire for FET boosted servos (I think that's what they used to call them). These servos could get their power directly from the battery instead of through the receiver for higher speed/torque. I don't know if anyone still makes servos like this though...The instruction sheets don't mention it, must a secret only given out to European racers...
