I had seen a few people post about the old school car stands a while back. The one that clamp the car in and spin. They stopped making them a long time ago, but i found a similar style on ebay and thought id share it. They are a bit pricey but look killer.. anyhoo here is the link..

Big time over kill !!!!! Forget 1 strap and your takin everything to the track with you, plus knockin all the crap you would have on the base to the floor.

The old CLAMP style were much nicer...somebody here was re-making those just a few weeks ago.

1/2 the time...I just use something in my race box.... a charger box, my digital caliper box, what ever I grab first.

Yeah i notied the straps after i posted. I dont think it would be very hard to add some screws for clamping..

Here's the new one's. They look good. I just broke out the old one i had a couple months ago and have started using it again at home, a bit much for the track for me although i already bring everything but the kitchen sink with me:)

The clamp style work great on a chassis with parallel sides but if the sides of the chassis angle any the car can slip out. I still have two of the originals that I use sometimes. Packing is not too much trouble, just unscrew the riser from the base and it takes up little space
