Yes this will be a trophy race. Fliers for all the events are coming real soon. Got so many events to plan, and fliers to make.....been taking a bit. Plus the holiday didn't help.

Just wondering why It's a ROAR Event?

Just wondering why It's a ROAR Event?
We have a decent size group of people who purchased ROAR memberships for the ROAR event in September who can use their memberships again for this event. Also, BFG is a ROAR sanctioned track so its nice to hold ROAR events at the track. ROAR gives the event and BFG more credibility and exposure. Also Terry has been a huge supporter of BFG and the guys who race in West Michigan, its nice to host these events to help support him. Those would be my main reasons for making this a ROAR event.

Will a oneday pass be offered for this race or will we have to takw out a full year membership . I know that some of the people that race like me race on a budget and can't afford to buy a full membership. Sounds like a fun time and I'll try to be there

Any special deals with the hotels around?
I've been asked to provide some info, so people traveling can make plans to come to this event... Is the Days Inn a good choice? Any special rate for racers?
Thanks

Mike

I finished up a flier for the event last Friday and took a handfull with me out to Leisure Hours over the weekend. I will get it posted before the end of today so everyone can download it. Also, Uncle E is bringing a bunch of fliers with him to CRCRC on Thursday and will be able to hand them out at the race for anyone who is interested.

No sir, the Slash Bash is taking the place of a Slash class at the ROAR event.

Too bad, you'll lose a lot of entries considering that Slashes is the biggest class at BFG every week.

Hey Dakotah,

For the truck you have many tires that work well. Panther Switch 2.0 Clay, Holeshots, Losi BK Bar, or JConcepts Bar Codes. You can use those tires on front and rear.

2WD buggy its pretty much the same tires on the rear and a good set of Panther Bobcats on the front.

4WD I have no clue what they have been running lately. One of the guys will have to fill you in on that.

Hey Dakotah,

The tires for the 4wd are :
Switch 2.0 RR an Bobcat r Raptor FRT (Clay Compound of course)
Holeshots (M3) RR and Pink Taper FRT
Probably a lot of the RR tires for the 2wd are working for the 4wd, i.e. Bar code or BK Bars, or Jconcepts DD.

I should have the info on the hotels tonight, so I'll post something as soon as I get the confirmation on prices...

Glad you are going to make it to the race.
Mike

No, at this time the plan is to run only ROAR classes, no exhibition classes (ie. 1/18th scale, 1/8th scale, slash).

We had the Slash Bash because there was enough interest in racing the Slash that it warranted their own event. That race alone took 4 1/2 hours to finish. Last thing we want is a 12 hour race for this ROAR event. I will bring a towel for you to cry into Hank.

So then there will be 1/8 Electric, right?

I,m no Roar expert but they added 1/8 electric nov 10 2008 for 2009 season. I wanna party like it,s 1999 but RC race like it,s 2009!
