The best part is if you win one, shipping is $5 and if you win both the COMBINED shipping is $8. Gee, how nice of him. Tycoarm 11-20-2008, 08:43 AM Check out this out 260317693671 buy it now 9.99?? Every piece of track is garbage. I have it on my watch list just to see if anyone is foolish enough to buy. Here's another 310101583589, Tyco High Bank curves. They are listed as eight pieces @35.00 and also has the High Bank Straights listed 310101584307 @35.00. $70 for two sets of High Banks, this guy is way out of touch. Minor wear indeed - most of the stuff that would show wear is gone! You are right though, jag glass is so often broken, reglued, or cracked somewhere. Is there a good method to goop/weld, or fuse the glass together? I know the clear testors "glass maker" helps with broken tabs and voids, and the old clear plastic polishes out very nicely, but what has your experience been with cracks? Bill Hall 11-22-2008, 01:57 PM snip*..... I know the clear testors "glass maker" helps with broken tabs and voids, and the old clear plastic polishes out very nicely, but what has your experience been with cracks? Not familiar with the product Split ....you got's the product #? I havent had a lot of success with busted glass, not that I ever tried. I have restored clouded glass by swimmin' it in testors and re-buffing it though. Beyond sanding, buffing, and the occassional skinny dipping I got bubkus. Samples of tinted glass that were "goop-i-fied" proved fraut with bubbles when put into practice. I sorta tabled any developement in the glass arena after that ...but you have given me some food for thought on how to proceed on "crackages". The thought that clear glass samples could be gooped-i-fied, then thinned as invisible crack filler has considerable merit! SplitPoster 11-22-2008, 02:12 PM Hey Bill, the stuff is Testors Clear Parts Cement & Window Maker #3515. Syrupy consistancy, dries clear. Vitale writes about goopifying clear glass and using capillary action to seal cracks, but I would think a fair amount of trial and error would be needed to attain a seamless repair. I have used testors cement on a couple things, nice part is it dries clear and can build up an edge. Can't say that I have used it to its potential. resinmonger 11-22-2008, 02:45 PM It has huge potential as a future NTx Sprint Car. :drunk::hat::freak::dude: Bill Hall 11-22-2008, 02:53 PM Thanks Jeff! I sent my copy of "The Book" to Boss 9 I'll give it a whirl....will try some on pancakes too! vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
