Yeah, I went ahead and bought 'em. Why? I like that they have a smaller footprint on my shelf. I can't help it, I love ThinPaks.

Does anyone know if they have come out with a Blu-Ray version yet? I'm waiting to buy all of them in one of those special edition in Bu-Ray with the added scenes, documentaries, etc.

Does this reissue contain any of the rumored special additions - Kenobi vs Vader, Vader flying back to Corescant etc as well as scenes filmed but not originally included in the prequels?

These releases include nothing new. They are simply the original two-disc vesions of the prequels, and the original trilogy with a secnd disc that has the "original theatrical version" of those films.

Hmmmmm, I thought Lucasfilm was going to have the "otv" discs included for only a limited time. I guess that means until they release them in anamorphic ws so we can watch them on ws televisions. Or util they decide to put the films on Blu-Ray. I remember Rick wasisname (the producer of the prequels) saying that once the format war was over, that they would owrk hard to get the films out for Blu-Ray.

I guess as long as none of the Trek stuff is in Blu yet, that they don't feel too rushed. 2009 will tell.

Weren't they meant to be releasing all six films, with tweaks, in a box set last year? At least that's what I remember of the rumor...
