Whats the deal with changing the lipo rules. Its was SMC 3200 @ 38oz.
Now you can run any roar legal lipo, so I have to buy a one race batteries. I don't think so!!!!!!

Which ones do you use at the track you run every week?

I thought the SMC 3200 was going to be the only legal lipo at maximus, that way there wasn't a battery war. Its on the maximus home page.

I'd have to guess that Heath is trying to stay in line with BRL rules. They run up to 5400 mah LiPo's for the 10.5 NiMh/17.5 LiPo class since 17.5 LiPo is slower than 10.5 NiMh. When mixing classes someone isn't gonna be satisfied that's for sure. I'm just gonna run 17.5/3200 lipo.

I find it very funny the only people with complaints on here I can not remember the last time they where even at the track! Had a great day today cars got better all day.Enjoy my day out to play with the toy Cars.

Some if not most of SK racers just race SK cars, and they all basically run 17.5 bl systems, but I guess its not well received up there and its not the time for the sk cars to run in this event. However I do enjoy myself when I am able attend heaths place. Mine was more of a ? than a complaint.

Would love to see the SK cars run there a blast to watch. You would have to ask Heath about it ! I know you where only asking !
I just get a kick out of the people who talk the talk but can"t walk the walk.

Sorry Brian again, I didn't want to complain I just wanted a clarification of the rules. I wish I could walk the walk but the gas,tolls,and entire fee are keeping me from coming down there. Plus I bought lipo stuff, so that is against me. I just want to race.

So Brad... looks like even if they were running 'your' battery,
you wouldn't have raced any way...
As for entry, I could be wrong, but I think Maximus LOWERED their
entry fee for this race, from last year's....
And gas is half what it was last year...

O.K. lets get back to the begin. Maximus rules for 21.5 lipo is SMC 3200 and they raced with 13.5 4-cell. When I saw the rules for 17.5 lipo it said any ROAR lipo. So I was wondering why the change. Then Tommy told me why and I understand why. Now you know what I'm talking about. Dan, you said nobody runs lipo but Pat has run lipo a couple times in 13.5. I'm not trying to make people switch to lipo, I'll run in 13.5. I know you guys don't run 13.5 every week, so I would hate making the trip and not be able to race. Hopefully I can make it for this one. Sorry won't talk anymore on Hobbytalk gets to many people mad at me.

But when you first came on here, you gave the impression that somehow
Maximus was sort of keeping you out.
Which is hardly the case.
People at the track will work with anyone that shows up.
Even the ones we get "mad" at! :thumbsup:

The little one is doing great! I even start to have time to work on my car. I'll try my best to be there, but with the crazy work schedule I have right now, I can't make any promises. I really hope I can, there are a few tricks I want to try.

Am I missing something here, why the new layout? Just for a change or is there a reason. When everyone said 4 feet was being added I just assumed it would be the length, thus moving the corners to a newer section of the carpet and extending the carpets life. This I just don't get.

Just to do something different. Thought it would be interesting to see what may happen. We will go back to original layout for weekly racing after this event.

It would be great to see on the carpet.

That's cool, thanks for getting back so quickly. Now I won't have to loose any more sleep trying to figure out the reason for the change, LOL.

I would very much like to come racing, but time seems to be in very short supply for me these days. I hoping to come back on a part time basis after the holidays.

I think it's going to make the corners more "sweeping"
and less "hairpin' like..

In racetrack design, it's the ratio of straight length to corner radius
that makes a track work or not work...

I think it's great that they are just giving it a tryout...
you never know about something until you try it..
We try stuff all the time with our cars, to make them better.
Kudos to Maximus for always trying to make the experience better...
