I have noticed that a few members of this site could use a bit of humility.
Many new faces have come here to learn from our experience and are quite eager to tax our brains (or lack of it in some cases). I would like to remind all here that not everyone builds at the level that some here have attained. Most admire and wish to emmulate the impressive builds posted here. No questions are dumb or stupid, maybe ill informed, poorly researched but not stupid. Don't assume they have read every post here, as some questions or topics of discussion may be repeated. Use some tact and answer them with respect, put your egos aside and be the mentors these people are looking for. These new faces are the future of our hobby, and if discouraged may loose interest and find something to do they won,t be nitpicked over. Remember...this hobby is an art form, and as such may be interpreted in many different ways by the artist in question. You may not find their vision to your taste, but IT IS THEIR VISION, not yours. At least they're building!

Excellent point Ductapeforever  I've been posting for just over a year and the stuff I've learned here is incredible...I've been building and painting Monster Models for years and I really SUCK at painting eyes...so I asked the question over on the modeling forum and Man...I got some Great tips on how to do it...and from some of the ,( who I consider to be) Masters!
I've found for the most part all the Lads here to be pretty great guys...and I've only notices a little snarkiness when really it's just a difference of opinion...You're 100% right when you say modeling is totally open to interpretation and your choices are what counts...have fun with it people...Man I know I do and this place is the COOLEST

Thanks for the Writer's Guide. Very kind of you.
This is not art. This is Craft.
It's either good work. Or it's bad work -- the degree assigned should be the only subjective determination expressed here. Everything else is feel-good, PC, fluff and non-sense of no utility.
"It's all good" is a fiction.

There is a fine line between hobby and mental illness...some people insist on bluring the line further!

It would be good that everybody try to tolerate one another a litle bit better.
Not every member of this board is building models at the same high level as a few of the more experienced guys. Still everybody is here because they have the same basic interest in building plastic models.
I hope that it won't be necssary for me to do more than remind EVERYBODY to play NICE in my sandbox!
