Hi evreyone,

My honey-do list is finally done and looks like I can start some modeling. Two things are on my agenda or maybe 3 :)

1. Mustang Madness Mail in race next month so I will be shrinking a new mustang prize which I hope to start this weekend.

2. I need to finish the slin-line off eagle.

3. I want to start doing some standard TJET chassis Grand Prix cars. I have a Porsche 804 that's almost finished and a Cooper Climax that I started on Monday.

I got a 1/43rd scale Cooper made a mold and did a thin slosh cast. I then cut out a section of teh cockpit which gave me the length I wanted. So I needed to attach the front th rear. In the past I either super glued it tehn used some resin or taped it and applied some resin. This time however I wanted to really work the rera end so it would fit the chassis and keep the wheels where they wer suppose to be. Of course teh rear end was too narrow so I cut out each side so the rear of the car would fit over the screw hole. This left a large are to be filled so thsi is wher the new idea took over. I applied clay to an old chassis full built up with wheels. The clay was applied to rear end top and sides. I then placed the rear half of the body on the chassis and smoothed out and formed the clay until it liiked like a rear end the Cooper. I then placed the front end over thechassi and snugged it down and removed any excess clay.

I then mixed up a littled resin and started flowing it on the side of the car and over the rear end> It took several batches of resin ti build it up. I then did the opposite side. I also wanted the body to set low like a real Grand Prix car. I took ogff the wheels and set teh body on top of an old mold. I mixed up some more resin and flowed on the side so it would dri[p down and extend the side of the body. This also went well and I was able to finish the maseter and remold it. I did a slosh cast on Tuesday and was very happy with teh results. So happy that I painted it green and will be finishing it up completeley before I make the inside mold. No pictures as I am at work.

Now all thsi process need is a faster setting resin 10-12min makes for a long day as you build up a body. I need a 2 to 3 min resin.

I want to do a Ferrrai 156 shark nose and a Lotus and maybe a Lola too so for some variety in the Grand Prix field.
