I love it, I have seen a lot of hot rods in my life but never a Rolls with a blower and a roll cage.~Wounder if it sill has the built in umbrella in the drivers door? ~~Remember the Caddy from Monster Garage ~ Kind of the same set-up.~but I am shur that the Rolls was built a 100 times better then the Caddy was.

Hey do any of you guys remember the smash up derby a lot of famous racers got together and did back in the early seventies? They all bought brand new Luxury rides, from all of the major manufacurers and they were all painted white. Yep there was a Rolls too I don't remember who won that but it was televised and was really cool to see them all get smashed up !

Touche' Joe, A very common retrofit for big British salons on this side of the pond.

Last one I was involved with was an old huffed BRG XJS Coupe one of my bosses had. Technically not a salon but the Factory V-12 had a compound fracture...rod sticking out of the block and puked her guts out before seizing up. The old girl was a little rough around the edges but still very solid and all one color....maybe a 6.5 or a 7 on a cloudy day. :p

Even without the new block the rebuild cost would have been stratospheric.
After fishing around in the company boneyard we installed a 501 Cadillac motor with a turbo 400 automatic, then dropped the ride height a few inches. OMG....what a great parts getter! LOL :thumbsup:

Jags with chevy or other GM engines, transmissions and cooling systems are pretty common in the LA basin as well. As Bill noted, it's a cheaper and more reliable way to go for old Jags. There's few surprises like the one you get the first time you hear one of these "hybrids" starts up and that expected Jag purr is replaced by good ole 'merican rumble. We're also starting to see BMW 3 series with vette power.

As much as Im a die-hard hater of 4 door sedans, I cant deny the cool factor here!

And for the record, I love the AFX Roarin Rolls. I own 2, one black one white. AND have the lifelike re-pop of the Miami vice cars.

A friend of mine back in the late 70's got a XKE Jaguar the one with the 10foot long front end, With a blown up V-12 ~ His grate plan of putting in a small block 283 engine with a two speed power glide, Just seamed very wrong to me. He never did do it and sold the car ~ 283 & trans to another dreamer. LOL

Went to high school with a kid whose dad had a body shop. They got in an old VW bug that the owner sold them cheap. They put fiberglass fenders on it and bought an adapter kit for the tranny and bolted a Buick 215 aluminum V8 to it! Remember those? Early 60's Engine stuck out the back and they built custom Baja style roll bars around the the engine. Up front totally concealed was radiator with electric cooloing fans Car would smoke the tires completly off and the front would be in the air the whole time

That Rolls actually has a 1,000+ HP 592 Hemi in it. It has a leather wrapped roll cage to match the interior. It was at SEMA and has been around the Midwest Show Circuit since last Spring. ;)

Do you guys remember the '69 Rolls Royce they did on Monster Garage? They turned it into a porto-toilet sucker. :p Jesse James did a big brake torque with it before they even started on it and bent the rear trailing arm to axle. That old Rolls wasn't up to the task of a little 'ol burnout. :rolleyes:
